A Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (commonly called an EPC) is required when you build, rent or sell a residential property. You must order an EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property to sell or rent. The document shows an efficiency rating between A and G and is valid for 10 years.

The EPC is generated from data we collect during a survey of your property. This will include reviewing the building fabric, insulation levels, glazing types, heating systems, hot water generation systems, lighting and any renewable technology. The survey is purely observational and will be completed quickly and efficiently by our Domestic Energy Assessors.

Once we have undertaken the survey we will generate the EPC and lodge with the central Landmark site to show compliance.

The EPC will identify opportunities for saving energy at your property with indicative costs for implementation and likely cost and energy saving amounts. There is no requirement to undertake the improvement measures identified they are for reference only, however it should be noted that from April 2018 landlords will not be permitted to rent out at property in England and Wales with an F or G rating.
